Finally Mozilla has released Firefox 14 browser. Quick release system of Firefox browser had a chance to annoy the fans, because users are becoming too frequent updates without a significant change in sight.
Mozilla claims that Firefox version 14 release brings a variety of bug or problem fixes that arise in Firefox 13, however, there are still some shortcomings of Firefox 13 that have not been repaired.
Although the Firefox 14 update is quite important to fix the deficiencies and problems found in Firefox 13, but the frequency of updates that are too fast is actually considered quite annoying the users.
Firefox 14 update is more oriented to close the gap and the critical level of security warnings, so for a novice user, Firefox 14 update did not bring significant change, because there was no significant change in the interface.
Mozilla browsers are still brings some new features and changes include:
- Use of the HTTPS protocol when using the Google Search facility, it does increase the security of users.
- Support full screen feature for Mac OS X 10.7 Lion.
- Additional plugins or add-on can be configured and loaded with just a mouse click.
- Awesome Bar now supports autocomplete feature when typing the address of a site.
- Pointer Lock feature support API for developers.
- API (Application Programming Interface) preventing the display of new sleeping.
- Various bug fixes and security.
As quoted from VR-Zone today (07.18.2012), Firefox 14 is not fully stable because there are some problems with Firefox 13 that have not been resolved, but Firefox 14 is considered much better than Firefox 13.
Since adopting the rapid release cycle like Google Chrome, Firefox gets a lot of negative responses from fans but the Mozilla browser is still a good enough for browser market share.
